Worker Productivity Rises, Wendy’s Cuts Business Spend

US worker productivity per hour jumped at a 2 percent annualized rate in the third quarter - more than predicted, according to a new Labor Department report.

Wendy’s Co. plans to cut business spend by as much as $30 million by next year. The effort is due to lower profits from high beef prices and health insurance costs.

The high-end gold Apple Watch could cost as much as $5,000 - or the price of about 12 Apple iPads.

Takata - the maker of the faulty airbags that caused millions of cars to be recalled - said it expects to lose more than $218 million this year.
