UK Businesses ‘Bullied’ by Suppliers, US Retail Sales Rise in November

The Federation of Small Businesses reported nearly a fifth of companies in the UK are bullied by suppliers, and are subject to “pay-to-stay” and other tactics. The FSB survey found companies face “alarming levels of widespread unfair dealing” in the supply chain.

Back in the US, retail sales are strong. November retail sales rose 0.7%, more than economists expected and higher than seen in October.

New supply chain rumors point to Apple mass producing the Apple Watch beginning in January. The first production cycle is estimated to produce 3-5 million watches.

The number of cars recalled due to the Takata airbag defect now reach near 20 million as Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi announced additional recalls of more than 500,000 cars around the globe.
