US Consumer Confidence Continues Climb, Delivery Companies Have Successful Holiday Season

Consumer confidence in the US continues to rise. The consumer confidence index reached 92.6 in December, according to a new report from the Conference Board. In November, the index hit 91.

UPS and FedEx avoided any major delivery blunders this holiday season, delivering 98% of packages by Dec. 24. Both companies invested millions this year to avoid the delays seen in 2013.

Hyundai plans to expand its production activity in China in the coming years. The automaker will build 2 new factories in the country, which will be operational in 2016 and 2017.

While many energy companies are slashing 2015 spending budgets due to declining oil prices, Southwestern Energy Corp. has announced it will boost its capital spending program for the new year.
