More M&As Expected in the Oil & Gas Sector, Apple Reports Better-Than-Expected Q4

The oil and gas sector will likely experience a large increase in merger and acquisition activity this year, according to global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney. Largely driven by falling oil prices, M&As present an opportunity for energy companies to stay competitive in the market.

Sales of iPhones jumped 46% in the final quarter of 2014 compared to the year before, boosting Apple’s revenue higher than expected.

Recent car recalls include Ford pulling more than 221,000 vehicles from the market due to issues with door latches and seat belts. Nissan has also recalled 552,135 Rogue crossovers due to a wiring issue that could cause a fire and more than 215,000 Pathfinder SUVs and Infiniti vehicles because the hood could fly open unintentionally.

The 40 million Amazon Prime members in the US spend an average of $1,500 a year on the website, according to a new survey. Non-Prime members spend about $625 a year.
