Walmart Expands in Canada, Apple Reaches $700 Billion in Value

Shortly after Target announced it is pulling out of Canada, Walmart says it will expand its distribution network north of the border. Walmart is planning to invest $270.1 million to buy 29 supercenters and expand its reach in Canada.

Yesterday, Apple became the first US company to close at more than $700 billion in market value.

The White House is filing a trade case against China for offering illegal export subsidies to companies in 7 industries. The Obama administration says China provided at least $1 billion in illegal subsidies to aid exporters over 3 years.

London-based payment and big data technology company Remitia Limited has formed an alliance with Boston-based Elcom International to develop new methodology and technology to enhance connectivity with buyers among the SME market.
