Labor Secretary Joins West Coast Port Talks, US Remains a Top PV Inverter Supplier

US Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez has joined the West Coast port contract negotiations. President Obama sent Perez to try to ward off a total shutdown of the ports and help the union workers and shipping companies come to a resolution regarding labor talks.

The US and Japan will be the top suppliers of PV inverters this year and next, according to IHS. The 2 countries will also be the only ones that have PV inverter markets bringing in more than $1 billion in annual sales.
