Walmart Labels Sustainable Products Online, Retailers Report Delays Due To West Coast Ports

Walmart has started calling attention to specific products made by its “sustainable” suppliers. The retailer labeled 3,000 products online with a “Made by a Sustainability Leader” badge, letting shoppers know the items were produced by a environmentally-conscious manufacturer.

Other major retailers are reporting ongoing delays due to the West Coast port woes. Among them is Home Depot, which said it is experiencing a roughly 2-week delay on its imports.

China has taken some of the world’s largest technology companies, including Cisco Systems Inc. and Apple, off its state-approved purchasing list.

Despite the recent restrictions the Federal Aviation Administration published on drone use in the US, some still say the devices are useful for the supply chain for such things as remote delivery.
