Gartner announced its list of the top 25 undergraduate supply chain programs in North America, with Pennsylvania State University's program taking the top spot. Michigan State University ranked No.2 and the University of Tennessee came in third.

OPEC members saw record oil output in July, hitting 33.1 million barrels, up 46,000 bpd from June. The high output, led by Saudi Arabia and Iraq, comes even as the world faces an oversupply of oil.

U.S. consumer groups, such as the Natural Resources Defense Council, are urging Yum Brands, the company behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, to fully eradicate antibiotics in its supply chain. KFC said it would limit the use of human antibiotics in its chicken by 2017, but the groups say the fast food chain’s policy still allows chicken suppliers to use antibiotics.

U.S. import prices increased 0.1% in July, and the price of exports jumped 0.2%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. July marked the fifth straight month of import price increases and the fourth straight month that export prices rose.
