
E-sourcing provider Scout RFP announced Tuesday a contract management solution as part of its summer 2017 release. Called Scout Contracts, the new offering “allows the enterprise to collaboratively and comprehensively manage supplier contracts,” the company said in a press release.
Ford Goes to China
Ford’s next-generation small car will be built in China and not Mexico, the company announced Tuesday. According to the New York Times, Ford said it would “begin making the Focus in China for global markets in 2019, after production ends at its current location in Michigan.”
Jabil Selects Coupa
Global manufacturer Jabil announced yesterday it had selected Coupa to manage its procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, according to a press release.
“Jabil requires a comprehensive, open, user-centric, prescriptive, and accelerated approach to meeting the needs of their business, their employees, and their more than 25,000 global suppliers,” said Rob Bernshteyn, CEO of Coupa. “We look forward to a long and successful relationship."
Japan Exports
And finally an economic update from the East: Japan’s exports jumped 14.9% in May, the strongest jump since January 2015, the Wall Street Journal reported.
