Dear Spend Matters Readers,
For those of you who have submitted a question to our Ask Spend Matters program but haven’t heard from us, we wanted to let you know that even though we’re in the dog days of summer, we haven’t forgotten about your questions.
In fact, we’ve taken a close look at all the questions submitted since we launched the program in early July. Our editorial team has grappled with which questions to pursue and investigate, and several have already been reported and published!
Check them out:
- What’s the cost of having a long supply tail, and how do you determine the ‘right’ supply base?
- Big Data in public procurement: Strategic enabler or leaker of inconvenient truths?
- Centralized, decentralized or hybrid sourcing structure: How do we decide?
- Building supply market intelligence: Which data sources are the best?
- Do other services procurement areas get as much negative press from suppliers as marketing procurement?
That said, many more questions we’ve received are worthy of an answer. Although we can’t promise in-depth reports for each question we decide to investigate, we will be sure to address more of them in the coming weeks and months.
The Spend Matters team cares about what’s on the minds of all you fine procurement folk — so keep an eye and ear out, as the next question we select may be yours.
Haven’t yet asked a question? Now’s your chance!
