Coupa made two announcements Tuesday morning: It’s expanding its relationship with Amazon Web Services to help enterprises with technology spend, and it bolstered its business spend management (BSM) with several new developments.
“IT teams can now search, purchase, deploy, pay and manage thousands of software products in AWS Marketplace using Coupa, giving them instant budget visibility and control in one place to spend smarter and simpler,” Coupa announced as it holds a customer event this week in Las Vegas.
“Coupa is expanding its relationship with AWS to empower CIOs with better control over their organization's software spend throughout the entire buying process — from search to post-purchase — without compromising speed.”
Four Developments
- “Procurable Spend Spotlight harnesses community intelligence-powered analysis to uncover savings opportunities by identifying expense report spend that should have been purchased through existing procurement contracts at a lower cost,” Coupa said.
- Coupa Advantage, which has pre-negotiated deals with suppliers, now “assesses customer spend in real-time and prescribes opportunities for community-based, pre-negotiated savings,” the company said.
- “Within eight months of its acquisition of the technology assets of DCR Workforce, Coupa has unified contingent workforce management within its BSM platform. This further solidifies Coupa's vision of enabling businesses to manage all of their spend, including both goods and services, within a comprehensive BSM platform,” Coupa said. - “The new Coupa App Directory enables customers to embed third-party applications across the Coupa BSM Platform. These new capabilities create a streamlined yet comprehensive Business Spend Management experience that includes best-in-class third-party data and processes, such as sustainability ratings, tax information and travel processes,” the company said.
