Procurement Leaders — an organization known for its executive conferences, membership and research in the procurement sector — has announced its acquisition by World 50, an executive membership organization.

Procurement Leaders CEO Nandini Basuthakur announced the news Wednesday.

“We have been acquired by World 50 — a partnership that will support us to continue our journey and vision to be the world’s most valued global procurement network and beyond,” Basuthakur said in the announcement on LinkedIn. “We will continue to offer our unique suite of insights, applications and connections that accelerate global and cross-functional transformation to our customers. This will now be further strengthened by the pairing of World 50’s powerful access across the broader C-suite.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Spend Matters Founder Jason Busch, who prior to the transaction was a shareholder in Procurement Leaders’ parent company, Sigaria, said:

“Procurement Leaders created a built-to-last business and strong executive network in the procurement market in Europe and later in North America — first through conferences, and then through a member organization and associated research,” Busch said. “I have incredible respect for the founders, Mark Perera, Alex Martinez and Richard Pope, and what they were able to accomplish (and more recently, the new management that took the helm). We look forward to seeing how Procurement Leaders evolves under the ownership and guidance of World 50 as a member of the procurement community.”
