Trump administration ‘will not do any business with Huawei’
President Donald Trump has clarified that the U.S. government will no longer have any dealings with Chinese telecom giant Huawei, adding he’s not ready for a trade deal with China, reports CNBC.
“We are not going to do business with Huawei. ... And I really made the decision. It’s much simpler not doing any business with Huawei. ... That doesn’t mean we won’t agree to something if and when we make a trade deal,” Trump said, according to the news source.
Vineyard Wind project delayed due to federal government
Vineyard Wind has reacted to the Trump administration's delay in granting a key permit for the first major U.S. offshore wind farm, saying it was surprised and disappointed, reports greentechmedia.com.
The federal government delayed giving approval to the final Environmental Impact Statement for an 800-megawatt project with a contract to sell power into Massachusetts. It will, instead, conduct another study.
Hazel Technologies closes Series B financing
Hazel Technologies, a USDA-funded startup that develops new technologies to extend the shelf life of fresh produce, today announced $13 million in its Series B round of funding, taking its cumulative total to $17.8 million. The new round was led by Pangaea Ventures, a world leader in advanced materials venture capital, and S2G Ventures, a Chicago-based firm with investments across the food supply chain from soil to shelf.
