11/19/2021 By

Public Spend Forum (PSF) is a public sector procurement global community and market intelligence platform dedicated to improving public buying everywhere. GovShop is its free-to-use global government market research tool for finding and connecting with suppliers. Read more from PSF and GovShop founder Raj Sharma here: Working towards a more open and accessible public sector marketplace – for suppliers and buyers.

And take a look at this LinkedIn post from Raj to get a feel for why he cares so much about Open Government Markets.

This week’s latest from PSF:

Using machine learning to rapidly identify a global ecosystem of suppliers and experts

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread, governments, foundations and funders around the world are working to address a myriad of public health, epidemiological and economic challenges confronting their communities and the world. Any solution to these complex challenges is likely to require rapid identification of, and collaboration with, an ecosystem of partners including private sector companies, academic and non-profit institutions and experts from all over the world.

Raj Sharma, CEO PSF and Govshop and John Dickerson, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at University of Maryland and advisor to GovShop, highlight, through an example on vaccines and therapeutics, how leaders can use GovShop’s data to ensure the right suppliers and experts are selected and mobilized to address the challenges the world faces.
