In today's fast-paced business environment, procurement professionals face many challenges, from managing supplier relationships to mitigating risks and controlling costs. In the quest for operational excellence, organizations are increasingly turning to technology solutions to streamline their procurement processes and drive efficiency. To address these challenges, many organizations turn to source-to-pay (S2P) suites because they include a comprehensive suite of tools designed to optimize processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

This article gives an overview of one such provider: Ivalua.

Ivalua is one of the few suite providers that has built its end-to-end solution on a single technology stack from the ground up and one of the fewer still that doesn't try to grow through an acquire-and-integrate approach (with the exception of Directworks which Ivalua re-platformed to make it an integral part of the suite).

Over the years, Ivalua grew its geographic and functional footprint as well as its partner ecosystem by moving from implementation with in-house resources to a partner approach. It has become a unicorn with global coverage with customers in over 75 countries and various industries, and it is continuously enhancing its offering.

As mentioned, Ivalua covers the entire S2P process. This analysis, however, focuses on its upstream capabilities (S2C). Part 1 of this update provides an overview of Ivalua’s S2C offering, including its roadmap and vision. Part 2 will examine the solution strengths/opportunities, cover the voice of the customer, a review of the competitive landscape and close with an analyst summary.
