BravoSolution Real World Sourcing – Scholarship Dinner and Winner Announced!

Last night, at the Berner's Tavern in London, this year's BravoSolution Real World Sourcing scholarship dinner took place. Invited guests were the delegates who have scored best on the short quiz we set after each of the six RWS sessions that Guy Allen and I ran with support of course from BravoSolution through 2015.

And the lucky - well, nothing to do with luck really - winner was Bernard Van Haeften! Many congratulations to him, and he receives the £2500 cheque from BravoSolution to be spent on training, education or similar activities in 2016. That did mean he had to carry the giant cheque home on the underground at midnight last night after the dinner ... ! Only joking of course. It was the night bus.

Bravo RWS dinner 2015We're in the final stages of planning next year's Real World Procurement events, (note the name change), so look out for more information here soon on that as well. Thanks to BravoSolution too - the firm has shown a genuine commitment to helping the procurement profession develop skills and capability over the past few years, and that I suspect has been one of the reasons for their success in the UK. Their clients and potential clients see the firm as being "on their side" rather than simply trying to flog them some software!

PS How was the food, I hear you ask? This was my first time at Berners Tavern, although I have had lunch at the Pollen Street Social once, which is chef Jason Atherton's flagship restaurant. Berners Tavern is part of the achingly hip Edition Hotel, full of beautiful people, and I did feel a little ... old.  A great place for a special occasion anyway. The food was not quite up to the immaculate standard of the Social, but certainly was extremely good, Michelin quality, with a retro touch - prawn cocktail anyone? That lunch at the Pollen Street Social was right up there in my "best meals ever" list by the way.
