BravoSolution’s Real World Sourcing expert briefings return for 2013!

We’re delighted to say that BravoSolution are running another “Real World Sourcing” series in 2013 in conjunction with Spend Matters and Guy Allen. That follows the really good reaction we had from delegates at the six expert briefing events in 2012, which all sold out and got excellent feedback.

Like last year, three sessions will be presented by Guy, previously CPO at Abbey, Santander and Fujitsu, and three by me.  The format will also be similar – around 90 minutes of presentation / discussion / workshop type content on a particularly topic, followed by a networking lunch with the chance to discuss the topic – or anything else for that matter – with other procurement executives.

Each event runs from 11am to around 2.30pm, and this year will be held at the Jameson Room, Bentley's Restaurant, 11 Swallow Street, London W1B 4DG. BravoSolution will again be offering  an end-of-series “Graduation Dinner” for ten delegates, and a Scholarship of £2500 for one lucky person, to be spent on training and development activities, based on the results of the on-line “test” we set after every event.

Here are the topics for this year and the dates – more detail here.

27 February 2013              You Get What You Pay For!

17 April 2013                       Contract Management – Generating Real Value from
                                                your Contracts

22 May 2013                       Effective Supplier Relationship Management

18 September 2013         The Sourcing Revolution - Market-Informed Sourcing

23 October 2013               Preparing for a Merger or Takeover

27 November 2013          Transforming Procurement – Myth or Reality?

We pitch the material at a fairly high level – these are not basic introductions, rather we try and get into the latest or leading edge thinking.  A bright  individual with only a couple of years procurement experience would still get something out of it, I’m sure, but we assume an audience of CPOs and senior managers when we develop the material.

You can book for sessions individually, or book for all six together. The cost is very reasonable – just £49 per session or £199 for all six. The fees go directly towards the scholarship and to be honest, it isn’t a commercial thing. We decided to charge something to try and ensure people didn’t just book “on spec”, then leave us with both empty seats and disappointed folk who were too late to get a place.

We’ll go into the topics further next week, but you can read more already on the BravoSolution site (links above).  As I say, all the sessions sold out last year, some quite quickly, so if you’re interested, don’t delay, book today!

Peter, there are a few sessions that are booking up VERY quickly. Just one note – the cost is £39 per individual event, if you book early enough. (£49 closer to each individual event date.) There are further discounts for booking multiple events – anybody interested can call Alex or Philip in our team on 020 7796 4170 for more information. We had some great feedback from last year’s series and I am very much looking forward to this year’s events.
