Conservative / Liberal coalition document published

I was going to do a post on the Con / Lib 'manifesto' that was published yesterday, but I think Michael White in the Guardian has said pretty much exactly what I was going to say, probably better, so I'll just mention a couple of procurement issues here.

Much of the document sounds great to me - but inevitably it is short on detail and still long on assertions, intent, and further reviews.  The Tory policies on publishing contracts have survived; but there is no mention of MOD procurement reform; and it is very light on the 'savings' to come.  The section on Health - reading it as a procurement person - is unclear in terms of how the internal markets, use of private sector and other such commercial issues will pan out.

Now we wait for the £6 billion announcement on Monday...
