Icertis Picks Up Momentum

Enterprise cloud-based contract lifecycle management specialists, Icertis, have been on a tear lately. Over the past few months, they have been announcing new wins and new products at an accelerating pace. The recent slew of announcements include new customer wins with Centennial Coal and Treasury Wines in Australia, Lantmännen and Bertelsmann in Europe and Norfolk Southern in the US. The geographic and vertical industry diversity speaks to the broad market interest we at Spend Matters are seeing in the larger CLM category. Brexit The Bigger Picture: Rethinking Supply Chains

McKinsey & Company’s UK and Ireland Office has released new research, based on interviews with executives at about 50 firms across the UK, looking at the impact Brexit is having on supply chains. The answers reveal deep concern about the near-term uncertainty and impact of Brexit, but limited preparedness for the ongoing ambiguity about UK-EU trade that could be with us for years to come. It concludes that companies can respond to the ongoing uncertainty by reinventing their supply chains – not just to protect against near-term disruption, but to deliver long-lasting improvements in resilience, flexibility and bottom-line performance. Coupa Completes Acquisition of Contract Lifecycle Management Leader Exari

Coupa announced this week that it has completed its acquisition of Exari, extending the business spend management firm's contract management solution with advanced CLM capabilities. These include - 'functionality for contract creation, collaboration, and discovery, enabling companies to comprehensively manage the entire contract lifecycle and operationalize their contracts against spend transactions,' according to the press release. “Contracts are not just the heart of business-to-business commerce, but also the brains; yet, most contracts are just 'dumb' documents,” writes Pierre Mitchell, Spend Matters’ Chief Research Officer. Bank of England and 4C Associates Honoured for Outstanding Achievement in Procurement

Bank of England in partnership with procurement consultancy 4C Associates have been awarded the UK National Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards for procurement leadership in recognition of their outstanding achievement in procurement. Hosted by BiP Solutions Ltd, the GO Awards recognise outstanding achievement in procurement across the public, private and third sectors.
