There' s a good debate running on the Procurement Leaders blog (including sarcastic comment from me...) about various reports claiming that CPOs are now on a high percentage of company Boards. It doesn't ring true, is the general verdict, although it may be in how you define a 'Board'.
My suspicion is that we are still just about moving in the right direction in terms of senior level representation; but we're a long way off having CPOs on full or even operating boards of most companies.
