Know Your Agreements: The Difference Between BPAs And BOAs In Federal Contracting

Public Spend Forum writes about the US Army’s intent to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to support its transition of legacy applications into the commercial cloud. BOAs are distinguished from another, more common type of agreement, the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) which have become increasingly popular as agencies seek to reduce acquisition lead times without committing to long-term contracts with a single vendor. Common Strategic Priorities for Public Procurement Leaders

As part of Public Spend Forum’s Leaders Exchange for Public Procurement, it regularly surveys public procurement and government contracting leaders from across federal/state/local governments on their strategic priorities. (You can take the survey to participate and results will be made available upon its close.) Based on an ongoing survey and discussion, PSF has also gleaned a few key priorities from public procurement leaders, wherever you are based. This article gives the 5 priorities that came up, with added insight from leaders on the common themes. Read more here.
