He explains what this means and why it is a defining point in the assurance of telecoms networks within the UK. The closure of the scheme without a replacement is a challenge since it underpins a large number of contracts, and will place communications providers in breach of contracts and increase the cost of procurements for customers until the new compliance regime is implemented, he says.
