Webinar Tomorrow – Focus on Health Sector and Supplier Management

We know a good-sized cohort of our valued and esteemed readers work in the health sector, so wanted to mention a webinar tomorrow that our US colleagues are hosting which may be of interest, titled Keeping Pulse of Your Suppliers and Contracts Using Technology.

It is at the not particularly friendly time of 7pm if you are in the UK, but if you register, you can always listen back at a later date and time if that suits you better. The heart of the webinar is a case study from UCM, one of the leading academic medical institutions in the USA.

UCM (University of Chicago Medicine), has been at the forefront of medical care since 1927, when it first opened to patients. Today, UCM operates four hospitals and a state-of-the-art ambulatory-care facility located within a medical centre campus, with revenues for patient care totalling $1.4 billion in fiscal 2014.

To achieve a target of reducing non-labour expenditures by $10-$12 million a year, UCM successfully deployed a source-to-pay (S2P) cloud-based technology platform.  So in this webinar, David Spence, sourcing and diversity manager for the organistaion will touch on:

  • The spend, supplier and contract management challenges the center faced
  • The scope and implementation approach for Ivalua's cloud-based contract management system
  • The benefits realised and lessons learned

Xavier Olivera of Spend Matters Mexico-Latin America will also frame the discussion with the evolution of procurement software in the S2P software landscape, spend management trends in healthcare and more.

The webinar is free on registration – see more details here.
