Vendors in GPOs (Group Purchasing Organizations)

Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), also known as buying consortiums, purchasing coalitions, and other names, are vertical-specific or horizontal entities that attempt to leverage the purchasing power of their participating members/customers (who may also be the GPO’s owners). The typical GPO business model relies on supplier paid fees (rebates), but other hybrid models have emerged that include subscription service dues and other usage-based fees.
