AI Basics Part 1: How Artificial Intelligence Works

In this first of four AI Basics presentations about Artificial Intelligence and how it can be used in practice, Pere Sivecas, Spend Matters Development PM and Software Architect, separates the capabilities of what AI can do from the hype and money that have flooded the technology since it took over from bitcoin as ‘the next big thing.’ He highlights the importance of what the technology can do, how a business may implement it and the basic elements of how a neural network, the basic building block of AI, works. Afterwards, there is a short Q&A that addresses the instance in which an AI may arrive at what appears to be the right conclusion, but it has done so via an incorrect calculation.
